Houston Ultrasonic Liposuction Technique

Ultrasonically Assisted Liposuction (UAL) is a complement, not replacement, for the Tumescent Technique.  The Tumescent Liposuction Technique, or Wet Technique, utilizes the injection of fluid into the areas of liposuction to help reduce bleeding, pain and swelling but also helps loosen the fatty tissue.  When employed, the ultrasonic machine sends high frequency sound waves into the area to be treated essentially liquefying the subcutaneous fat cells.  In general this achieves more fat removal, removal of more stubborn or fibrous fat, and an overall smoother result.  UAL is not appropriate in all cases.  Dr. Mentz will tailor your plan based off of your needs and desires.
